  • 1kg of onions
  • 4 full chicken legs
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 70g of tomato paste
  • 500 ml of water
  • salt and pepper

1Start off by cleaning up your onions, carrots and chicken. Leave your chicken legs in warm water for around 20 min till you charge your phone in order to take those awesome pictures when the dish is done and maybe have a quick coffee as well. After which remove them from the warm water and pat them dry with some paper towels.

2Bring your pan or skillet to heat and add your chicken for frying. Meanwhile, while the chicken is frying you can fine-dice your onions and fine-grate your carrots in order to have them ready for the next step.

3Remove the fried chicken from the pan and add your onion and carrot for sweating them until soft and that should take around 20-30 min.

4Move everything to a bigger pot and add your fried chicken alongside with 500 ml of water and 3 bay leaves as well as salt and pepper.

5Let it simmer for around 30 min more and after which taste for salt and adjust if needed.

Here you can add your personal touch to this dish and add fresh parsley or coriander or even some fresh dill and enjoy your work of art!
