Riiiiight! Time for a new classic recipe for when you want to surprise your significant other coming back home after they spent some time with family. Remind them why you are so awesome! Amazing tasting, light and fresh you can’t really go wrong with it.

Ingredients

  • 2 complete chicken legs and 2 chicken wings
  • 1 medium-size carrot
  • 1 medium-size onion
  • 1 medium-size red pepper
  • 1 Kg of peas (precooked)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Tbsp of vegetable oil
  • tomato puree
  • chopped dill
  • salt and paper depending on taste

Directions

1Wash the chicken and keep for 20 min in room temperature water to remove the nasty things from our meat after dry with a paper towel and prepare it for frying. I use my cast iron skillet for this task as it provides an amazing extra taste that only old school cooking techniques provide. No need for seasoning at this stage as it will be done later on when we mix everything.

2Fine chop a medium size onion, fine dice the pepper and the carrot and prepare them all for the cast iron pan that we used to fry the chicken. We will sweat the chopped veggies for around 5 minutes or more exactly (depending on the size you chopped them) till they get all soft.

3At this point you might need to change the pot depending if the one you used so far will hold all your content. I shifted from my cast iron skillet to a bigger size wok. Add 300 ml of warm water and bring that to a boil. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes to which we add the precooked peas and the fried chicken and let it simmer for another 20 minutes. You can add your garlic and dill 10 minutes before it’s done for an extra intense flavour. Adjust for salt and paper aaannnddd DONE!
