A delicious day starter, prepared in advance or a simple snack, the bacon and veggies pie is a dish that will make you want more.
- 100g of Parmesan cheese
- 100g of Emmental cheese
- 50g of Eidam cheese
- 100g of Mozzarella cheese
- 4 eggs
- 120g of Bacon, or more, whatever, I’m not your boss.
- 1 bell pepper
- 4 eggs
- 50g of seedless olives
- 2 spring onions
- 100 ml of milk
- A pinch of salt and one of pepper
1While your oven is preheating at 230 degrees Celcius or 450 degrees Fahrenheit, chop your veggies and mix all your ingredients in a large bowl (remember first to crack the eggs, don’t put the eggshell in). Prepare your pastry puff dough and place in the cast iron skillet. You can use whatever other oven-proof pan or tray for the same outcome and make sure to cover the entire bottom of the “thing” you are going to use. The end result should look like this:
2After the oven reached the desired temperature (230°C/450°F) put that baby in (note: not the real baby, I am referring to the pie) and let it cook for about 35-45 minutes. I know, I am not really exact but yet every oven is different so take a look at it once in a while to make sure you don’t burn it and embarrass yourself in front of your friends. If no friends are present I guess you are safe. After 35-45 min passed it should look something like this:
3Serve on a plate, or what makes you wanna eat that baby right away (note: not talking about a real baby but the pie again). I actually ate directly from the pan. Was just orgasmic. Have fun and enjoy!
